AN AVANT-GARDE PROPOSAL, ALONG WITH SOUNDS OF HER TIME, THAT RESULT IN SONGS SUNG WITH THE SOUL

Born in Venezuela, Nella skyrocketed to international renown fueled by her powerhouse voice and undeniable presence. In a short time, she went from Berklee College of Music graduate to winner of the 2019 Latin GRAMMY® Award for Best New Artist. That same year, her full-length debut, Voy (I Go) produced by Javier Limón for Casa Limón Records, received acclaim from NPR and yielded the hit “Me Llaman Nella” (They Call Me Nella). In addition, the title track was named the 14th best song of 2019, in any genre, by the New York Times.

Merging the folklore roots of Venezuela, modern production, and Andalusian inspirations, her sound resounds in every corner of the globe. Not only has she packed venues throughout the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, and the UK, but she has also performed with Alejandro Sanz, Luis Enrique, Susana Baca and collaborated with Jennifer López, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Vives, Monsieur Periné and Los Amigos Invisibles.

Notably, Academy® Award winner Asghar Farhadi recruited her to join the A-list cast of his film Everybody Knows alongside Academy® Award winner Javier Bardem, Ricardo Darín, and Academy® Award winner Penélope Cruz. Illuminating her talents, she performed songs written by Javier Limón exclusively for the screenplay. It opened at the Cannes Film Festival to rapturous applause.

Nella's voice has also captivated great musicians such as Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, who invited her to perform a song composed by him for the documentary by the artist Cruz Diez.

At the beginning of 2020 Nella signed with Sony Music Records and released her second album “Doce Margaritas” on 2021. Nella also participated in the HBO album and special "Piano y Mujer" with the Irish American pianist Arthur Hanlon, a project in which she collaborated with great artists such as: Kany García, Natalia Jiménez, Evaluna Montaner and Goyo.

“En otra vida” is the third album for the Venezuelan artist Nella, a work that immerses us in a universe of very particular talent and with a characteristic and delicious creative concept. Faithful to her original sound, Nella pays homage to the great authors of Latin American music, versions of great songs where she surrounds herself with artists from different generations, women who compose and join in this celebration of Spanish composers.
